2007 Bird-A-Thon Contests!
In past years, Northern Arizona Audubon has given a prize to the team with the highest species count during the Bird-a-Thon. To encourage greater participation, we will be offering multiple prizes this year.
PRIZE CATEGORIES: Incentive prizes are given to members of the teams in each of the following categories:
- Most Species Seen Award
- Most Unusual Species Award
- Most Money Raised Award
- Most Creatively-Named Team Award (One former team was called “The Raven Loonatics.”)
To support this event, local businesses donate prizes. Depending on the level of prize donations received, additional awards may be made in the following categories:
- Best Photo Award for the best photo of birders or birds on the Birdathon day
- Still Wet Behind the Ears Award for the youngest participant.
- Old Geezers Award for the team with the highest average age.
